Detecting Bypassing Micro Black Holes
نویسندگان
چکیده
Contemporarily, convincing evidence is lacking for the existence of micro black holes due to their small masses. In this paper, a specific situation discussed in which Schwarzschild hole, with mass up 1013 kg and hence lifetime longer than universe's age flies towards Earth typical speed an asteroid, (10 km/s). The analysis two-body problem shows that Earth's surface will be tidally affected only if initial configuration space, namely space impact parameter velocity, satisfies very strict relationship. Even hole directly goes through core, its restricts accretion rate so much accreted negligible. We also consider possibility detecting optically by optical distortion. Analysis size Einstein ring indicates one would need accurate instruments detect such effect. Finally, we analyze emission spectrum assuming validity Hawking radiation conclude unique energy might detected used as bypassing hole.

Microcanonical Description of (Micro) Black Holes
The microcanonical ensemble is the proper ensemble to describe black holes which are not in thermodynamic equilibrium, such as radiating black holes. This choice of ensemble eliminates the problems, e.g., negative specific heat (not allowed in the canonical ensemble) and loss of unitarity, encountered when the canonical ensemble is used. In this review we present an overview of the weaknesses o...
متن کاملGravity coupling from micro-black holes
Recently much work has been done in lowering the Planck threshold of quantum gravitational effects (sub-millimeter dimension(s), Horava-Witten fifth dimension, strings or branes low energy effects, etc.). With a semi-classical calculation based on Hawking evaporation of planckian micro-black holes, I shall show in this paper as quantum gravity effects have to be present also at GUT energies. PA...
متن کاملMicro black holes and the democratic transition
Unitarity implies that the evaporation of microscopic quasiclassical black holes cannot be universal in different particle species. This creates a puzzle, since it conflicts with the thermal nature of quasiclassical black holes, according to which all of the species should see the same horizon and be produced with the same Hawking temperatures. We resolve this puzzle by showing that for the mic...
متن کاملDetecting Low-Mass Supermassive Black Holes
We demonstrate the feasibility of uncovering supermassive black holes in late-type, “quiescent” spiral galaxies by detecting signs of very low-level nuclear activity. We use a combination of x-ray selection and multi-wavelength follow-up. Here, we apply this technique to NGC 3184 and NGC 5457, both of type Scd, and show that strong arguments can be made that both host AGNs.
متن کاملExtra dimensions and micro black holes at the LHC
We present recent studies of the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations on the potential to discover extra dimensions and microscopic black holes in the forthcoming 2009-10 LHC run. We show that there is a good chance that with an integrated luminosity of ∼ 100 pb −1 accumulated at a center-of-mass energy of 10 TeV the searches for such new physics will be extended beyond the existing limits. Extra dimen...
